It is no secret that Amazon is the holy grail when it comes to shopping; especially now. But when it comes to plant shopping, Amazon really does have everything you could ever need. From plants to pots and from tools to supplies, it's all there.
While there are way more than 10 items I routinely buy from Amazon, here are my top 10 favorite re-buys.
1. Moisture Meter
This one is a classic, but a must buy. Moisture meters are a small metal probe that you stick into the soil to measure the amount of water in the soil. It is used to prevent overwatering and underwatering. This probe is attached to a small device that will show you on a scale how dry your soil is, from scorched to sopping.
I love this device so much, and I’m sure it has saved me from overwatering a plant on multiple occasions. It is also nice for plants that have different soil preferences. For example, I only water my succulents when the scale is at a 1 or 2, but I water my polka dot plant when it is at a 3 or 4.
This device is great to help determine when to water and leaves no room for error or misjudgment. You can find multiple brands and spectrums of range meters, but I found that this one is the best from Amazon.
2. Pots
When you first purchase a plant, you aren’t supposed to move it from its original pot unless it is outgrowing the pot, has roots poking out of the bottom, or is in desperate need of a new pot with new soil. When that time comes, I always use this go-to.
I love the simplicity of this pot set and how modern it looks on a shelf or table. It also has great drainage while also being a great cover pot until your new pot needs to be replanted.
In this purchase, it comes in a pack of five pots; one 7 inch pot, one 6 inch pot, one 5.5 inch pot, one 4.5 inch pot, and one 3.5 inch pot. Not only does this make a great purchase as you get multiple sizes for a good price, but it also works well for growing a plant.
As your plants grow, they can be transferred into the next sized pot that comes in this collection. Great purchase for the bank, and a great purchase for your plants.
3. Watering Can
Even non-plant addicts know that plants need to be watered regularly. This watering can is a simple, affordable, and realistic option for indoor plant parents.
I really love this option from Amazon because of its size and looks. I think this is a really slim and sleek can that isn’t an eyesore in the house. Yet, it still functions really well and is great to use indoors.
It is a 1/4 gallon can. I always hated carrying around a giant 1–2 gallon can everywhere around the house while I’m checking for thirsty plants. But this can is a way to still be able to carry some water in an actual watering can, without leaving your arm shaking afterward.
1/4 gallons is the perfect amount for me to go and top off any pebble trays, small plants, or propagation areas as well. With multiple colors to chose from, I think this Amazon purchase was well worth it.
4. Humidifier
Humidity is one of the most important things to consider for your plants; some like a little, some like a lot, and some would prefer to live underwater if they could. That’s why this humidifier is perfect.
It comes with an adjustable nod to get the exact amount of output as needed and also has a 360 rotating nozzle to point the vapor in any direction you want.
This humidifier is extremely easy to clean and very easy to maintain. At high speed, the tank will last a full 24 hours, and will otherwise last up to 60 hours, depending on the level of output vapor you want.
This humidifier is one of the best I have found, and also one of the cheapest for its size of 5 L. Great purchase with no regrets.
5. Sticky Traps
If you have more than one plant, it is very likely that at one point, you will encounter some type of pest. These Sticky Traps are great for fungal gnats and a few other pests.
These yellow stickers are planted into the soil of an infected plant and will catch any nearby gnats very quickly. While they do not help with any larva that is in the soil, they will help to maintain the level of adult gnats that are around your plants.
If not this, neem oil is also a very good investment to make. It is more of a treatment and preventative tool but works great to help eliminate fungal gnats.
6. Humidity Monitor
Humidity is one of the main 6 key components to remember when taking care of a plant: soil, water, temperature, sunlight, nutrition, and … humidity. When making sure that your plant is getting everything that it needs, having a humidity monitor is a great way to clarify you are doing everything right.
Whether your plant loves very high humidity or very low, having one of these on hand is a great way to keep you sane and feeling safe doing everything that your plant needs.

7. Fertilizer
Fertilizer is a necessary component of any plant routine. Besides the winter months, most plant needs to be fertilized on a monthly basis in order to get the nutrients they need to grow.
This fertilizer is a great organic and trustworthy brand. I find this fertilizer to be the best choice at the best price for me and my collection.
After the first time using this fertilizer, it was clear that my plants were perkier, stronger, and growing fast than usual. I recommend this fertilizer to any new-time plant parent.
8. Squirt Bottle
Watering your plants can sometimes get messy; one-gallon water cans can be hard to control when trying to water a small plant on a higher shelf. That’s why using these squirt bottle from amazon are a great investment.
Some plants are very temperamental when it comes to water. Using this bottle will help to get water only where you want it on your plants. This also prevents overwatering, as you are specifically pinpointing exactly what soil is being watered.
This is great for cacti as well, as it will help prevent you from watering the actual cacti and not just the soil. Great purchase!
9. Smart Wi-Fi Outlets
Smart Wi-Fi Outlets — inside and outside of plant use — are one of the best purchases I have made in recent years. They are great to use for growing lights, humidifiers, water use, and a million other things.
I have a few used to turn on my lights and lamps, and a few used to turn on my growing lights and watering systems. These lights are so versatile that they are a must-have for any home; plant parent or not.
These smart Wi-Fi outlets are easy to set up, connect to your phone, and can connect to most smart home devices as well. After plugging an outline into electricity, it is as simple as downloading the GoSund app and connecting the outlets to your phone.
After this, the sky is the limit! Create a schedule: set up your grow lights to turn off at 9:00 pm and turn on at 7:00 am, turn on Christmas lights outside on the roof at 4:00 pm and turn off at 7:00 am, and a million other options.
This is for sure one of my favorite, unique amazon plant must-haves.
10. Plant Shelf
What does one do with all of the plants take up all of the shelving space? By more shelving space of course! This plant shelf is one of the cutest on amazon, yet very functional and perfect for all of the plants.
I have found this shelf to be great for taller plants on the top shelf, shorter plants on the middle rows, and a perfect nook to put all of my plant tools in a basket on the bottom shelf. Set this shelf against a south-facing window, and you’re are set!
